Cypress Loses, 2-1, in Metro League Baseball

The Cypress Dawgs lost to the Pomona Colts, 2-1, in a Metro League baseball game at Cypress College Monday night.

Pomona took a 1-0 lead on Ed Cartwright's home run. Cypress tied the score in the second inning when Joey Gonzalez was hit by pitcher Paul Olson, advanced to second on Ed Garcia's single and scored on Ernie Franco's single.

The Colts scored the game-winner in the third. With two outs, Ken Tolbert hit Tim Albert with a pitch. Albert took second on a passed ball and scored on Jim Stowell's double.
