Faced with continued parking problems, a Belmont Shore property owners association is asking their city councilwoman to ban on-street parking of boat trailers and large recreational vehicles.

In a letter to Councilwoman Jan Hall, the Belmont Shore Improvement Assn. asks that city law be amended to exclude "on-street parking at any time of unattached trailers, such as boat trailers, throughout all of Belmont Shore."

The group also wants to prohibit parking of any vehicle longer than 20 feet or more than 84 inches wide, except vans being used for deliveries, tow trucks or vehicles being used to make repair calls.
