Flag-Burning Amendment

July 17, 1989

The Supreme Court has been wise enough to recognize and re-affirm that we deserve the freedom to express ourselves without fear or hindrance about our society. Burning the flag is an important expression, ranking small in cost when compared with the illegal murder of thousands overseen and lied about by such as Oliver North.

Freedom to express ourselves in non-murderous ways such as this makes the sacrifice of all the civilians and soldiers in all the wars on our soil and abroad worth it. It's a good day now that the worth of the people has been recognized as greater than the worth of a piece of cloth, loved or hated as it may be.

P.S. I burn the flag of Ollie North, not the flag of Roosevelt, Abbie Hoffman, or Martin Luther King.
