A 15-year-old Fullerton youth has been arrested in connection with the death of a Diamond Bar woman who was co-owner of a Fullerton motel where the youth lived, police said Tuesday.

The youth, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, was arrested on suspicion of murder, rape, robbery and burglary.

The body of the victim, Pravina Dholakia, 40, was found by a janitor in a suite next to the lobby of the Willow Tree Motel at 1015 Harbor Blvd., Police Lt. Ron Rowell said. Police had not confirmed the time of death.

An autopsy Tuesday determined that Dholakia died of strangulation, police said.

The youth is being held at Orange County Juvenile Hall.
