The sixth annual Venice Summer Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Sunday, featuring more than 100 booths, music from bands such as "The Bone Daddys" and a children's game area.
The festival, whose theme is, "Celebrate Venice--a continuing tradition," will be held on West Washington Boulevard, which will be closed to traffic from Venice Boulevard to Westminster Avenue. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There will be park-and-ride lots at Broadway Elementary School, 1015 Lincoln Boulevard (at Broadway); Coeur D'Alene School, 810 Coeur D'Alene Ave., and Chiat-Day Advertising, 320 Hampton St.. The $3 parking fee will be donated to the festival.
Profits from the event will be donated to the Oakwood Youth Recreational Programs and for tree-planting on West Washington Boulevard.
Entertainment will feature Musicians Against Crack. An autographed jersey from Los Angeles Raiders running back Marcus Allen will be auctioned off. Raider Hall-of-Famer Willie Brown will sign autographs and give away a four-day cruise.
