Officials at Antelope Valley College decided Monday to drop a controversial plan to spend more than $10,000 in public funds to help the nephew of a Lancaster city councilman erect a wall around a private apartment complex he is building.
The 3-0 decision by the college's Board of Trustees reverses a vote two weeks ago under which the college would have split the cost of the 1,248-foot-long wall with developer Dennis Pursley, whose Woodbridge Apartments border on college property.
