Youths' Drug Outlet Raided

October 04, 1989

A "drive-up drug store" that provided cocaine to high school-age youths in Woodland, northwest of Sacramento, was raided by authorities who arrested 18 people on narcotics charges. Police Chief Bob McDonnell said the home where the drugs were sold rivaled "some of the fast-food restaurants in terms of sales." At one point during a two-month investigation, officers said they witnessed 105 drug transactions during a two-hour period.
