Two Events Will Benefit Services to AIDS Patients

November 14, 1989

Two events to benefit AIDS-services organizations in Orange County will be held over the next three weeks.

"An Evening with Tommy Tune" and the Pacific Symphony is scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Funds will benefit the AIDS-related support programs of the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center of Orange County.

Proceeds from an evening at Disneyland on Dec. 8 will benefit the AIDS Services Foundation of Orange County.

At the Center, Tune will sing selections from such Broadway shows as "My One and Only" and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." Tune--a winner of Tony, Obie and Outer Critics' Circle awards--starred in "My One and Only" at the Center in October, 1987.

Also appearing on the program will be the Manhattan Rhythm Kings. The concert will be followed by a party at 10:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for the concert only; $40 and $60 for the concert and an after-theater party.
