Santa Clarita has hired Mark Scott, the director of environmental services in Beverly Hills, as the director of its Department of Community Services, City Manager George Caravalho announced Tuesday.
Scott will replace Kyle Kollar, who resigned as community development director in July to join Kaufman and Broad, a housing construction firm. Scott worked eight years in Beverly Hills. He has a bachelor's of arts degree in public administration from Cal State Fresno and a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University. He will begin work Jan. 2.
