The League to Save Lake Tahoe says a plan for increased commercial flights into the town's small airport is a "dinky" document that does not deal with crucial aviation and environmental issues. "This is not a master plan alternative. It's a fantasy flight level dreamed up by the city and whoever," League Director Tom Martens said of the proposal by South Lake Tahoe and the bistate Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. The three-year plan would allow up to 16 commercial jet flights a day, compared to the current limit of three flights. Small commuter plane flights would increase from 10 to 22 daily into the airport.
