PALO ALTO — San Francisco 49ers cornerback Tim McKyer suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident Tuesday while he was en route to the Super Bowl champions' training camp for their final season meeting.
McKyer, 26, was treated at the Stanford University Medical Center and released.
The California Highway Patrol said the defensive back was alone in his auto on Interstate 280 when he made a lane change, triggering an accident involving two other vehicles.
Officer Glenn Wood said there was no alcohol or drugs involved in the crash. "The roadway was wet, and it was drizzling at the time of the accident," Wood added.
