More than 5,000 works of art by black artists around the country are on display this week to commemorate February as Black History Month.
The Eighth Annual Artists' Salute to Black History Month features paintings, graphics, photography, batiks, sculpture and other pieces by more than 70 artists, said Barbara Wesson, an artist and coordinator and founder of the show. Most of the artists will be at the exhibit, today through Sunday, at Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, she said.
