Just Wondering

March 04, 1990

Questions:

Will Americans ever be able to understand what the British actors are saying?

Will the FCC again be concerned about the content of TV shows?

Will the FCC ever again pay attention to the language used in both radio and TV or to the subjects?

Will there ever again be good news on the news shows (without the cutesy stuff)?

Will there ever again be romance on the media (without the obligatory eating of faces and tearing of clothes)?

Will there ever again be comedy on radio (or on TV . . . except for "Cheers," even with its raunchiness)?

Will late-night radio ever be less distressing? Less angry? More considerate of people on the way to sleep?

Will TV try to remember that, believe it or not, adults watch the show, not just kids?

Will anybody ever listen to these forlorn questions . . . ?
