Prima Ballerina Honored in Berlin: American ballet star Eva Evdokimova was cheered by 3,000 fans in West Berlin Sunday following a major weekend gala honoring her 20-year association with the city's opera house ballet company. Flowers were thrown on stage at the end of the gala, in which the prima ballerina danced several of the roles that brought her fame in the ballet world, including "La Sylphide" and the "Dying Swan." During a 30-minute standing ovation, the 41-year-old had to take more than 30 curtain calls. Evdokimova was the first Western artist to perform regularly as a guest star with the renowned Kirov Ballet in Leningrad.
