Wesley Rose; Co-Founder of Country Music Hall of Fame

Wesley Rose, 72, who co-founded the Country Music Hall of Fame. Until he sold it in 1985, Rose had headed Acuff-Rose Publishing, a major country and pop music publisher founded by his father, Fred Rose, and Grand Ole Opry star Roy Acuff. He published songs by his father, Acuff, Hank Williams, the Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison. In 1986, Wesley Rose was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame which he had established with Dee Kilpatrick. In Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday.
