State attorney general candidate Arlo Smith will speak Wednesday at Ventura College as part of a series of political candidate forums open to the public.

Smith, now the San Francisco district attorney, is challenging Los Angeles Dist. Atty. Ira Reiner for the Democratic nomination in the June primary. The college has tentatively scheduled Reiner to speak May 9.

The presentation, to be held at 11:30 a.m. on the outdoor stage, will last one hour, with Smith answering audience questions for about 40 minutes.
