SHORT TAKES : Clinton Seized on Cocaine Count

George Clinton, leader of the funk bands Parliament and the Funkadelics, faces cocaine charges after his arrest in Los Angeles early today.

Clinton, 45, was a passenger in a car driven by Archie Ray Ivy, 39, when they were stopped because the car's headlights were not on. The officer discovered two packages of cocaine on the front seat and arrested both men. Clinton had been returning to his hotel with Ivy after a recording session.
