HAVANA — Cuban high jump world record holder Javier Sotomayor will miss the Goodwill Games in Seattle later this month because of a heel injury, a Cuban sports official said today.

Jesus Molina, secretary-general of Cuba's Track and Field Federation, told the Cuban news agency Prensa Latina that the 22-year-old Sotomayor is still having problems with an injured left heel.
