James B. Pasnick, who sold insurance for 21 years in Van Nuys, has died at his Granada Hills home. He was 62.
Pasnick died July 12 of a heart attack, after a lengthy battle with diabetes, said his son John Pasnick.
A native of Sudbury, Ontario, Pasnick came to the United States from Canada with his mother when he was 14. He graduated from Hollywood High School and worked as a produce clerk for Safeway before becoming an insurance agent. He worked for American National Insurance Co. from 1958 until his retirement in 1979, selling life and health policies. Pasnick later became a U.S. citizen.
