Offense Finds Happy Medium

October 16, 1990|MAL FLORENCE

Football coaches usually strive for a balanced offense, but UCLA had to use its passing game more often early in the season because it fell behind against Oklahoma, Stanford and Michigan.

However, in victories over Washington State and San Diego State and a loss to Arizona, the Bruins have rushed for 680 yards and passed for 681 yards.
