Stella K. Powley, a 46-year San Fernando Valley resident, has died at a Woodland Hills hospital. She was 73.
A longtime resident of Reseda, Mrs. Powley died Oct. 11 after suffering a stroke, said her daughter, Barbara Hearden.
Born Stella K. Kosikowski on April 28, 1917, in Buffalo, N. Y., she came to California in 1944 and settled in the San Fernando Valley. She worked as a meat wrapper for the Vons Grocery Co., mainly in Van Nuys, for 29 years until her retirement in the early 1980s. She belonged to the Northridge Leisure Club, the Wilkinson Senior Citizens Center in Northridge, the West Valley Senior Center in Reseda and the Reseda Multipurpose Center.
