Satirizing Minorities

November 18, 1990

Two major flaws in Braxton's article "TV With an Attitude":

First, Gil Scott-Heron's "infamous philosophy" was not that "the revolution will be televised" but rather "the revolution will not be televised."

Second, the article failed to mention another important program that deals with the hip-hop phenomenon. "Kid 'n Play," featuring the popular rap duo of the same name, airs Saturday mornings on NBC. Recently reviewed in People magazine, it was given the highest grade of all the new Saturday morning shows.
