Residents of the Aliso Viejo planned community are invited to kick off the Christmas season and assist the needy at a tree-lighting ceremony Sunday in Glenbrook Park.
Santa Claus is expected to arrive at the 6 p.m. event in an antique fire engine provided by the County Fire Department. Those attending the community's second annual holiday celebration are asked to bring non-perishable food for the nonprofit Living Harvest organization, which distributes food to individuals by appointment.
