Compton 96, Saddleback 83--Dee Boyer scored 13 points had 11 rebounds and six blocked shots and Will Hutcheson scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds for Saddleback (5-5).

In the College of the Sequoias women's tournament:
Golden West 81, Merritt 72--Jennifer Harney and Tracy Wolfe each had 18 points and Adrienne Hughes had 17 for the Rustlers (8-0).
In a nonconference women's basketball game:
Mt. San Antonio 60, Rancho Santiago 47--Alin Perez scored 14 points and had six rebounds for Rancho Santiago (4-8).
Orange Coast 89, MiraCosta 40--Erika Manning had 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead Orange Coast (7-4).
In the state wrestling tournament:
Sam Lopez (118 pounds) and Ken Stegall (190), both of Cypress College, are the only Orange County wrestlers with a chance to win a state title. Lopez (32-0) won by scores of 10-2, and, 4-1. Stegall won 8-6, by a pin in his second match. Both are in the semifinals, which start at noon today.
