Getting to the Displays

December 16, 1990|DAVID LUSTIG

Locating residences and streets decorated for the holiday season is mostly a matter of going for a drive. Some of the more lavishly lit include:

* Agoura Hills: Grey Rock Road, one home on this street has 40,000 lights. Driving west from the San Fernando Valley on the Ventura Freeway, exit at Kanan Road and turn right. Go to Thousand Oaks Boulevard and turn left. Go approximately three blocks to Grey Rock Drive and turn right.

* Northridge: 10100 block of Hadley Avenue, nearest main streets Devonshire Street and Tunney Avenue. At the intersection of Devonshire and Tunney, go south on Tunney to Romar Street, east on Romar to Hadley and turn south.

* Saugus: the entire 21600 block of Masterson Court is decorated. Going north on Bouquet Canyon Road, pass Seco Canyon Road, turn left on Centurion Way, right on Caraway Lane and up a few blocks to Masterson Court.

* Valencia: most of the 27000 block of Laurel Creek Drive has been decorated. Nearest main streets are Seco Canyon Road (off Bouquet Canyon Road) and Pamplico Drive. Turn left on Pamplico, right on Sycamore Creek Drive, left on Covello Drive to Laurel Creek Drive.

* West Hills: the 23700 block of Arminta Street, nearest main streets Roscoe Boulevard and Valley Circle Boulevard. From the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Valley Circle Boulevard, go south on Valley Circle to Strathern Street and turn east to March Avenue. Turn south on March Avenue to Arminta Street and turn west.

* Woodland Hills: Candy Cane Lane is not a street address but an area. Six blocks of residences that have been part of a tradition for 37 years. It's bordered by Oxnard Street, Corbin Avenue, the Ventura Freeway and Winnetka Avenue.
