The Pontiac Silverdome's fabric roof collapsed Friday afternoon when power was cut off to the electric fans that support it.

No one was injured and there was little apparent damage to the roof, said Robert Haney, Silverdome operations director. About 1,500 people attending a boat show were evacuated for about three hours until power was restored.
