Some Readers Decide to Feel Their Oates

February 09, 1991

Bob Oates' commentaries have always been insightful and interesting to read, as long as you don't take them too seriously. Suddenly, the Giants have a "dynasty." Sure, they didn't lose a postseason game, but if Roger Craig doesn't fumble in the last two minutes, they lose to San Francisco, and if Scott Norwood could kick a field goal under pressure, they lose to Buffalo. I don't call that a dynasty.
