Sheriff's deputies arrested 25 anti-abortion protesters Saturday who tried to shut down an East Los Angeles medical clinic, authorities said.
Those arrested were part of a group of between 300 and 400 anti-abortion and abortion-rights demonstrators who gathered about 10 a.m. outside La Mujer clinic at 4055 E. Whittier Blvd., Deputy Mary Landreth said.
