Fudge Recipe for a Sweet Valentine

The following recipe, from Kraft Marshmallow Creme, should yield enough fudge to sustain the two of you through several romantic video viewings.


3 cups sugar

3/4 cup butter

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1 (12-ounce) package chocolate chips

1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla

Set the microwave on high (100%) power. Microwave the butter in a 4-quart bowl until it melts. Add sugar and milk; mix well. Microwave it again for 5 minutes or until it starts to boil. Stir after 3 minutes. Stir the mixture again and scrape the bowl. Put it back in the microwave for 5 1/2 minutes. Stir after three minutes. Gradually stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cool at room temperature in a 9-by-9-inch pan.
