'Bankruptcy of Legacy'

April 28, 1991

At the March meeting of the Venice Community Planning Advisory Council (CPAC), Joan Del Monte, a Venice realtor, resigned from the council after two years service. She stated to those assembled that she had joined the council to advocate affordable housing. She noted that in the two years of her service, the Venice CPAC had not obtained a single unit of affordable housing.

This council is handpicked by Councilwoman (Ruth) Galanter--who continually tells us that the hallmark of her administration is affordable housing.

I think Ms. Del Monte notes the bankruptcy of the Galanter legacy.
