A Van Nuys baby suffocated during a nap Wednesday evening when he rolled over on a plastic dry-cleaning bag left on his parents' bed, police said.

Alberto Casillas Jr., 4 months old, was pronounced dead at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, said Lt. Al Moen of the Los Angeles Police Department's child-abuse unit.

Moen said the death appeared to be accidental and that no charges were expected to be filed against the infant's parents, Alberto Casillas Sr., 24, and Irma Lozano, 18.

Lozano put the child down for a nap and returned about 45 minutes later to find him rolled over on the plastic bag and not breathing, Moen said.
