So let's see. If Bruce Willis makes $14 million a picture, and the average film takes five or six months to shoot, then he makes about $100,000 a day. But what really runs up the cost of filmmaking is paying union workers minimum scale of $200 a day?

In the interview, Willis claims that filmmaking is a collaborative process. It seems it is creatively collaborative, but not financially collaborative.
