How do we make our money? For the most part, the old-fashioned way: We work for it. In 1990, Orange County residents earned total personal income of $60,930,015. By far the largest share of that total, 56%, came from wages and salaries. That is consistent with the pattern during the last five years with the exception of 1987, when 60% of the total was from wages and salaries.
