The recent TV movie "Our Sons" (ABC, May 19) erroneously depicted Fayetteville, Ark., and its residents as ignorant and behind the times.
Just as television programs receive ratings, so do U.S. cities. The magazines "Metro Hotspots" and "USA Today, 1989" rate Fayetteville to be one of the most favorable cities in the United States for family living and retirement.
Next time a writer, director and producer want to "bag on" a city, they better do their homework. ABC owes Fayetteville an apology--not to mention the viewing public.
