Baseball: Daily Report : Angels

The Angels' plans to leave their Mesa, Ariz., and Palm Springs spring-training homes for the city of Tempe, Ariz., are expected to be announced in a press conference called for today. The state legislature recently passed a bill that allows Maricopa County to add a surcharge to car rentals and recreational-vehicle pads to help support cities' attempts to attract baseball teams. The county board of supervisors needs only to formally vote to institute the plan.
