Alamo Rent A Car is offering customers new discount booklets for various attractions in California and Hawaii when they rent an Alamo car. The California "VacationSavers" booklet is available at 13 Alamo stations throughout the state, and contains coupons worth more than $700. The coupons cover attractions in the Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco areas.
The Hawaii "VacationSavers" booklet can be obtained at Alamo outlets on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii. It has coupons worth $500. Each coupon in the booklets is valid through 1991, and must be used during the car rental period. Customers may be asked to show their Alamo car keys.
Los Angeles attractions include Universal Studios, horseback riding in the Hollywood Hills, Magic Mountain and a night tour of the city. In addition, there are covered wagon tours in the Palm Springs area, the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Buena Park, Knott's Berry Farm, parasailing in Long Beach and cruises to the Channel Islands in Ventura.
In Northern California, coupons are available for a walking tour of San Francisco's Chinatown, a cruise on Lake Tahoe, balloon and helicopter rides over Napa Valley, train rides and spa services through the wine country, horseback riding in the Sonoma Valley, Marine World Africa in Vallejo, guided tours of Big Sur, a nature tour of Muir Woods and the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose.
