Ikea Eyes Carson Mall: Ikea, the Swedish-based furniture and home furnishings retailer, has signed a letter of intent to open a store in the Carson Mall. It would be Ikea's third store in Southern California and would replace the Carson Mall's Broadway department store, which is to be closed in September. But a spokeswoman for Ikea cautioned that the lease agreement with Carson Mall is preliminary and "isn't anything close to being a done deal yet." In Southern California, Ikea has one store in Burbank and is building another in Fontana.
