About the Aug. 15 story, "Diamond Lanes To Be Added to Simi Freeway," I cannot believe that Assemblywoman Paula Boland (R-Granada Hills) stated, "It is unfair to deny some people access to the freeway" on diamond lanes.
Doesn't Mrs. Boland understand that diamond lanes do not deny people access to the freeway?
The purpose of diamond lanes is to deny solo drivers access to that particular lane, not the freeway as a whole.
