DECATUR, Ga. — Civil rights activist Hosea Williams was indicted Monday on felony and misdemeanor charges of leaving the scene of an accident.

Police said Williams rear-ended a car on July 19, offered the driver cash to repair the damage, then drove off before police arrived. A DeKalb County grand jury indicted Williams, 65, on two felony counts of leaving the scene and failing to render aid.
