Ventura radio station KXBS 96.7 FM is changing ownership, but the station will continue its "oldies" format, officials said.

KXBS Broadcasting Co. is purchasing the station from Express Broadcasting Co. The new company applied in August with the Federal Communications Commission for a change of ownership and the change is expected to take place by December.

Peter Daradics, former general sales manager of KVEN and KHAY radio, will head the station under its new ownership. He said the station will keep the same call letters.
