Gianfranco Rosi retained his International Boxing Federation junior middleweight title with a unanimous decision over San Diego challenger Gilbert Baptist at Perugia, Italy.

The Italian, at 35 one of the oldest reigning world champions, dominated throughout and got advantages of seven to 12 points on the cards of the three judges.
