PLATFORM : Nobelists Plea for End to Burmese Suffering Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been under house arrest for two years, is to be awarded the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize today for her nonviolent campaign against the Burmese military junta.
