CAPE TOWN, South Africa — A man convicted of raping an 11-year-old girl and infecting her with the AIDS virus was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday. . The judge said the rape victim is dying of AIDS in a hospital.
It is believed to be the first case known in South Africa of a rapist passing the acquired immune deficiency syndrome virus on to his victim.
