Gas Prices Rise: The average price of gasoline jumped more than 1 1/2 cents per gallon during the past two weeks because of new spring federal clean air rules, according to the Lundberg Survey. The biweekly survey of 13,000 gasoline stations nationwide Friday showed that the average per-gallon price of gas at all pumps, including taxes, rose 1.66 cents over the March 27 sampling, said Trilby Lundberg. The overall average price was 118.84 cents a gallon, up from the 117.18 cents two weeks earlier. The average price nationwide at self-serve pumps was 104.70 cents for regular unleaded, 122.11 cents for premium unleaded and 105.01 cents for regular leaded. At full-service pumps, the average for regular unleaded was 133.15 cents, premium unleaded was 148.16 cents and regular leaded was 137.61 cents.
