Russell T. Sharpe, 68, who was president of Golden Gate University for 12 years. A native of Rhode Island who was educated at Harvard University, Sharpe became administrative vice president at Golden Gate in 1948 after his World War II military service. He moved to Monticello College in Alton, Ill., as president in 1953 and returned to Golden Gate as its president in 1958. He retired in 1970. On Wednesday(15) in San Francisco.
