Richard M. Haugen, president of Allergan Inc.'s worldwide eye care marketing, sales and operations, has been appointed corporate executive vice president and chief operating officer. In addition, Haugen has been elected to the board of directors. Haugen joined Allergan in 1976 and has served in a number of key management positions, including president of the Americas region, president of Allergan Optical and president of Allergan Pharmaceuticals. Before joining Allergan, Haugen worked for American Hospital Supply.
