Cal State Fullerton's baseball team ended its Big West Conference schedule Sunday with an 8-3 victory at San Jose State, but the race for first place has yet to be decided.
The Titans (38-15, 17-7 in conference) can do no worse than finish second. They will have to wait to see what Long Beach (16-5 in conference) does against UC Santa Barbara in three games that were postponed because of recent violence in the Los Angeles area.
Long Beach, which defeated Fresno State, 18-2, Sunday, plays host to UCSB for a single game Tuesday and a doubleheader Thursday. Fresno State finishes in third place at 16-8.
For the Titans, Jason Moler had a two-run single, Steve Sisco had a sacrifice fly and Frank Herman had an RBI single for four runs in the first inning Sunday.
