Larry Marmie, former Arizona State head coach, accepted a job as defensive coordinator at Tennesee. Ohio State had hired Marmie in February as a linebackers coach.

"He was offered the Tennessee defensive coordinator's job, and I guess for a considerable amount of money," Ohio State Coach John Cooper said. "But I'll be honest with you, I don't think it's right. The timing is not good."
