3 Latin American Chiefs Agree to Free-Trade Pact

CARACAS, Venezuela — The presidents of Venezuela, Mexico and Colombia say they plan to sign a free-trade agreement by December to bolster the economic integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Presidents Carlos Andres Perez of Venezuela, Carlos Salinas de Gortari of Mexico and Cesar Gaviria of Colombia made the announcement Thursday after three hours of talks at the Caracas airport.
