Attend Saturday's class on outdoor grilling by Rosanne Ruiz, chef at the Robert Mondavi Wine & Food Center, and learn tips and recipes for grilling meats, fish and vegetables. The morning session, which begins at 9:30, will include a demonstration and tasting of food with Robert Mondavi wines. Owner J.J. Shaw inaugurated a buffet lunch at Gandhi Indian Cuisine this week. It's $6.95, served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. French Provencal cuisine takes the spotlight at the next Passport Dinner at Monique on Tuesday. The menu includes tapenade Swiss chard and eggplant tart, roasted garlic soup, tuna nicoise or medallion of veal with morel mushroom sauce, and hazelnut praline torte. Stags' Leap will be the featured wine at a Gustaf Anders dinner on Tuesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. After chilled gravad lax at the bar, the four-course dinner will highlight roasted venison with lingonberry truffle sauce, served with 1978 and 1988 Stags' Leap Petite Syrah. Larry Cano, whose current Orange County restaurant credits include Cano's in Newport Beach, Studio Cafe in Corona del Mar and Manana in Fountain Valley, recently debuted Pasta Manana Ristorante & Cantina in Anaheim Hills. He describes it as "a bit of Italy with a taste of Mexico," which means steak and chicken fajita pizzas, Juan's smoked chili pasta, snapper Veracruz, Mexicali calzone and scampi caprese. Entrees, which come with salad, are all $9.95 and under. Lunch is Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; dinner daily, 5 to 10 p.m. and till 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. 480 N.
